Travel and stay

Getting to Bastrop.

Twenty-five minutes east of Austin, free parking on site, and no downtown traffic to fight on the morning of.

Driving

From Downtown Austin

About 30 miles east on TX-71. Roughly 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic.

From Austin-Bergstrom (AUS)

About 25 miles on TX-71 east. Roughly 30 to 40 minutes. Rideshare and rental both work.

From San Antonio

About 90 miles. Take I-10 east to TX-304 north, or US-183 through Lockhart.

From Houston

About 130 miles west on TX-71. Roughly two and a half hours.

Parking

316 free spaces on site, including accessible bays near the entrance. No garage, no validation, no app. Arriving Monday evening for VIP check-in means an even easier Tuesday morning.

Flying in

Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) is the closest airport, about 30 to 40 minutes away. If you are flying in the day before, staying near the venue is easier than staying downtown.

Where to stay

Hotel blocks are being arranged in Bastrop and will be listed here with booking links once they are confirmed. Join the mailing list and we will email you when they are.

Make a short trip of it

Bastrop has a walkable historic downtown, the Colorado River running through it, and the state parks just outside town. If you are coming from out of state for a one-day conference, it is a better base than an airport hotel.
