A conference for the people doing the work.

There is no shortage of people willing to tell you what AI is going to do to your industry. There is a real shortage of people willing to tell you what it did to theirs, in detail, including the parts that did not work.

The Austin AI Conference is one day built entirely around the second group. Single track, capped room, in Bastrop rather than downtown, on May 4 2027. The people on stage will have shipped something. The people in the seats mostly will have too, which is the actual reason to come.

Who is putting it on

The conference is organised by Christina Suarez, who has spent years connecting people across Austin's business community and has wanted to build this particular room for a long time.

The technology, the registration system, the check-in, and this website are built and run by Nalo Seed, who are also sponsoring the event. All of it is custom and runs on our own infrastructure, because it seemed strange to hold an AI conference and then rent someone else's software to run it.

What happens after

The plan is not a single day. If this room works, it becomes a recurring thing: smaller meetups through the year, with the same standard for who gets the microphone. The platform this site runs on was built for that from the start.
